The Foundation for Chabot–Las Positas Community College District, established in 1967, is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to transforming lives through education. We advance academic excellence and career success by ensuring that students and adult learners have access to programs that help them gain the skills and opportunities needed to succeed in college, career and life.

Guided by the Foundation’s Board of Directors and in alignment with the mission and goals of the District’s Governing Board of Trustees, we invest in initiatives that expand access to education and career pathways for everyone in our community. Together, we ensure every learner has the resources and support necessary to achieve their educational and professional goals and to contribute to the strength and success of our region.

Working in partnership with the Friends of Chabot College Foundation and the Las Positas College Foundation, we strengthen resources across the entire District. While each college foundation focuses on campus-specific priorities, the District Foundation plays a vital, unifying role—supporting initiatives that benefit both colleges as well as the Economic Development and Contract Education (EDCE) Department, which provides high-quality training, workforce development, apprenticeships, and financial services to our community.
